Community social protest referencing the plan/application by Frensham School in Mittagong NSW to cut down 249 trees in a area they declared as “Land for Wildlife” in 2015 in order to build a number of “Eco cabins”.

The multi million dollar development project involves clearing 4.2 hectares in an ecological endangered forest in order to provide the pupils with an opportunity to study nature.
The Mittagong community, Frensham alumni and conservation groups have expressed significant concern over the proposed development.
Leading environment experts and leaders in the Southern Highlands are calling on the Frensham Board of Governors to abandon its DA for bush cabins in the critically endangered community in the Lower Holt. Additionally, representatives of:

On this day the annual May Day march in Wollongong was held in Port Kembla, where it was combined with a rally protesting the nuclear submarine AUKUS agreement.

The two-day Robertson Potato Festival took place in Robertson, NSW,, a region celebrated for its exceptional potato farms. This event gave the local community a chance to honour a vegetable of great social and economic importance, the humble potato.
