Dawn, ANZAC Day, 25 April, 2025. Led by a lone Piper veterans march along Bong Bong Street, Bowral NSW towards the War Memorial for a dawn service in commemoration of the WW1 ANZAC landing at Gallipoli and those lost in subsequent conflicts.

The sculpture was created by artist Peter Corlett commemorating John Simpson Kirkpatrick a stretcher-bearer who, with his donkey, rescued wounded men to the beach on Anzac Cove, Gallipoli and is credited with saving many soldiers’ lives. He served from the time of the landing at Gallipoli on 25 April, 1915 until being killed in action on 19 May, 1915.
