The Himalayan tahr, or the common tahr, is a large ungulate related to the wild goat and the only extant member of the genus Hemitragus. The Himalayan tahr is native to the Himalayas region. An introduced alien species to New Zealand, parts of South America, and South Africa with some significant impact on the native ecosystems. Order: Artiodactyla.
